Basic tools used to prepare stubs of connected pipes are groovers.
Grooving pipes using KAN-therm Groove clamps for connection, can be made in two ways, by pressing or by cutting. Grooving by pressing is suitable for pipes with a wall thickness of up to 9.5mm.
Such a method of preparing grooves is possible using small and mobile equipment. Thus, it is more popular and makes it possible to prepare the pipes on the site. Pipe grooving by means of cutting makes use of slightly larger equipment, which is why it is most often prepared in factories or in specially arranged, designated areas on the construction site. As a result, this type of grooving is a bit less popular on the site.
For the final assembly, inexpensive and easily accessible tools are used, such as constructional spanners, which are selected according to the size of the bolt heads and nuts used in the clamps of KAN-therm Groove.
