Award Winners in the KAN Vision Foundation Competition

We are pleased to announce the results of competition "Home SPA of the future in the KAN-therm system" that was held under the motto: "INSTALL YOUR VISION”. The event was organized on the occasion of the Interior Design Department 25th anniversary at the Faculty of Architecture, Bialystok University of Technology, and the 5th anniversary of the KAN Vision Foundation.

The jury, consisting of: Małgorzata Szczepańska - editor-in-chief and creative director of Elle Decoration, Professor, PostDoc. Michał Stefanowski, Professor, PostDoc in architecture Tatiana Misijuk, and Professor, PostDoc. Andrzej Bissenik, appreciated not only the originality and aesthetic values of the submitted projects, but above all their unconventional approach to the functionality and purpose of interiors in where KAN-therm systems play a major role.

Idea and creation

The submitted works were full of creativity, imaginative approach and thinking outside the box. Would the 'bathrooms of the future' realised according to the designs do the job? Judging by the efforts the participants put into creating the visualization – definitely yes!

We are pleased to announce the winners and holders of financial prizes from the KAN Vision Foundation:

· 1st place: Filip Sokolowski

· 2nd place: Kamila Kozłowska, Agata Sewostjanik

· 3rd place (ex-aequo): Anna Chojnowska, Dominika Żurawska

· Jury distinction: Anna Bukhal

The competition winners were also given a set of branded gifts, which we hope will come in handy in the profession.

A special mention for the original presentation of the interior plan was awarded to Agnieszka Jakimowicz-Łojewska by the Department of Interiors of Bialystok University of Technology.

Prestigious place: “Złota 44”

We would like to thank all the participants for taking part in the competition and appreciate the time, energy and commitment they gave to a very challenging task. We keep our fingers crossed that this experience will translate into their professional success. Congratulations on your ideas!

The award presentation took place at the KAN “Zlota 44” reference building in Warsaw (8th floor), designed by world-class architect Daniel Libeskind. The winners were also congratulated by Mrs Leonarda Szwed-Strużynska, art dealer and owner of the Leonarda Art Gallery, and Mrs Joanna Filas-Kaczan, President of the Foundation and the KAN Group Creative Director.

An invitation to visit the company

KAN is the designer and Polish manufacturer of the KAN-therm multisystem for the construction industry. The competition itself was about the KAN-therm WALL and FLOOR installation systems, which are used for underfloor, wall and ceiling heating and cooling, as well as for the drinking water distribution. Established at KAN, the KAN Vision Foundation has been supporting scientists, technologists, engineers and artists for the past 5 years. Hence the idea to hold an educational meeting and invite all competition participants to the KAN headquarters and factory in 5 Karpińskiego Street in Białystok.
